Thick over the knee socks in a soft terry knit, with a wide ribbed cuff that holds them up without a silicone band. They are warm enough to wear instead of tights under a skirt and stretchy enough to scrunch down at the boot. We knit them in plain black and plain white, and nothing else.

The inside face is looped, which is what makes a terry knit feel soft rather than scratchy and what holds warm air against the leg. The blend is half acrylic with polyester, spandex and a little rubber behind it, and the rubber is there for recovery: the sock goes back to its own shape after a day rather than staying stretched where your knee bends.
The top is a wide ribbed cuff rather than a silicone strip. It grips over a wider area and at lower pressure, which is what keeps it from leaving a ring on the thigh or sliding down halfway through an evening. Dancing, skating and a long walk are the tests that defeat most stay ups, and this cuff is cut for those rather than for standing still.
We grade the foot to a shoe size of 6.5 to 10, and the cuff stretches across a span of 8 to 20 inches. That is a real figure rather than a shrug, so you can measure your thigh and know before you order whether this will sit where you want it. Outside that span it will either slide or bind, and we would rather tell you now.
Two colourways only. Machine washing is what we grade them for, which is unusual in our knitted hosiery and comes down to the rubber content holding up where a finer yarn would not. Nobody has rated these yet, so there is no score on this page to read, and we are not going to borrow one from a pair that only looks similar.
