The cotton is brushed on the inside, which is the difference between a sock you can wear against bare skin all evening and one you notice. It also traps a little more warmth for the same thickness.
This pair exists to fix one thing: thigh highs that are too tight at the top and leave a mark, or slide down as soon as they warm up. It is cut wider through the leg rather than relying on the yarn giving way.

Plain black, white, burgundy and coffee alongside striped combinations including a black and rainbow. The striped tops are made to be folded down, and they look intentional either way.
