Most striped hosiery puts the stripes on a band at the top. These run the full length, which changes how they read under a short skirt and is the reason people buy this one over the plain version.
Seventy five percent cotton, five percent spandex, twenty percent rubber. The rubber content is what gives the cuff its hold and what stops the whole sock relaxing into a tube after a few wears.
Enlarged through the leg rather than sized up as a whole, so the foot stays a normal foot while the top opens out. That is the right way round for anyone who has bought a size up and ended up with a bagging heel.
