How the range is built

What we make, why it is organised this way, and the things we will not do to shift more of it.

What we start from

Almost everything begins at the thigh. Standard hosiery is knitted around a band of roughly 19 to 23 inches and then sold as one size, which is a polite way of not answering the question. We pick a circumference, knit to it, grade upward from there and print the figure. That single decision is why the plus section is the largest one on this site rather than a token shelf at the back.

What we drop

  • Anything we cannot keep in stock. A piece that we are not shipping does not sit on these pages waiting for you to click it. When it comes back, so does the page.
  • Anything we cannot price. If the figure at the storefront is unsettled, the piece waits rather than showing you a number that will not hold.
  • Cuts that only work on one body. If a sample fits at the small end of a grade and fails at 4XL, it does not go into production as a graded piece. It either gets re-cut or it stays in the sample drawer.

What is left is the 97 pieces on this site.

Why one garment shows up as several

Our storefront stocks each colourway of a piece as a separate item, so a single cut can appear there half a dozen times with the shade tacked on the end of the name. On this site they are folded back into one page with the colours listed on it. We do not add the ratings from those items together: they share one pool of customer reviews and stacking them would make the number look bigger than it is.

How a piece lands in a section

By what the garment is, not by which shelf it was photographed on. Studio shoots pair a shirt dress with a pair of stockings and the whole set ends up filed under hosiery, which helps nobody looking for a pinafore. So the sections here follow the garment, and the only thing the original shelf decides is whether a pair of thigh highs belongs in the plus range or the standard one.

Where the numbers come from

  • Measurements are our grading, taken on the flat garment in inches. We do not round them into tidier figures, so where the grade says 33.9 to 37.8 inches, that is what the page says. 75 pieces are graded to a chart.
  • Prices are what the storefront showed on 21 August 2026. They move with promotions and stock, and the figure at the storefront is the one that applies at checkout.
  • Ratings and review counts come from customers, untouched. 97 of the 97 pieces carry a rating; the rest are too new or too quiet, and their pages say so rather than showing an empty row of stars.

What we never do

We do not print a measurement for a piece that is not graded to one. We do not write reviews, or ask anyone else to write them. We do not shuffle the sections to push whatever has the best margin this month. A piece with a weak score keeps its place with the score showing, because burying it only moves the disappointment to the parcel.

Range as of 21 August 2026. Colours sell out and prices move, so the storefront is always more current than this page.
