We knit them at 27.55 inches from heel to top before any stretch. On most legs that puts the band above the knee; on a longer leg it sits right at it. Pushing them down to mid calf is the other way we design them to be worn, and the stripe pattern reads either way.
A cotton blend, chosen because it comes out softer than plain cotton and holds a stripe better. We do not print the exact split on this one, so treat it as a mid weight knit rather than a warm sock.
Every option pairs a base with a stripe: black and purple, baby blue and white, baby pink and white, black and red, black and green among them. The stripes run the full length rather than clustering at the cuff.
The size chart has a single row and it is keyed to shoe size, not calf or thigh. That is the only fit number we grade this pair to, so outside that shoe range you are going on stretch alone.
