V shaped pleating at the waist pulls the shape in where an overall dress usually goes straight down. That is the difference between a pinafore that looks deliberate and one that looks like a sack with straps.
A bib pocket at the chest and two at the hip. On a garment bought by teachers and gardeners as often as this one is, pocket count is not a detail.
With five percent spandex, soft and breathable, and it does not need ironing after a day of sitting down. We cut it for home and daily wear rather than for an occasion, and priced it that way.
Army green, beige, black, coffee, grey blue, rust and salmon pink among them, plus an orange and purple. The muted end of this range is unusually good for a pinafore at this price.
